Hyvä kilta,
fuksikasvatus on tärkein killan tehtävistä, sillä fuksit ovat teekkarien tulevaisuus. Juuri siksi minä, Into Almiala, asetun ehdolle Fyysikkokillan fuksikapteeniksi vuodeksi 2025.
Kuten lukuisiin tuoreisiin teekkareihin, kippar’innon siemenen minuun kylvi fuksi-Wappu. Kun kaikki mieletön kanssafuksieni kanssa kokema kristallISOitui pisaroiksi poskilleni lakkejamme ensi kertaa kantaessamme, tiesin elämäni parhaan vuoden huipennuksen toteuttaneen tarkoituksensa suurenmoisesti. Jo fuksisyksynä syttynyt viehtymykseni teekkarikulttuurin tenhoon sinetöityi osaksi sieluani.
Sen, minkä omat fuksikapteenini ja koko teekkarien jatkumo alkuajoiltaan asti ovat minulle antaneet, olen velvollinen välittämään tuleville fukseille. Teekkarit – ja erityisesti Fyysikkokilta – on ainutlaatuinen yhteisö, jonka me tekniikan alan opiskelijat olemme itse itsellemme ja seuraajillemme luoneet. Yhteisöä kannattelevat tuhatvuotiset perinteet ja symboliikka, jotka vuosisatojen ajan ovat ylläpitäneet teekkariuden sydäntä, jonka sykettä aktiivisimmin ylläpitää fuksikapteeni.
Olen siitä onnekas, että jo pienenä olen oppinut yhteisön merkityksen elämässä partion kautta. Nousujohteisissa partiopesteissä olen saanut järjestää niin kymmenien kuin tuhansien osallistujien tapahtumia. Yli vuosikymmenen mittainen partiourani huipentui tänä vuonna kahteen mittavaan pestiin, ja viiden vuoden hallitusurani päätös vuoden vaihteessa tietää kaiken Intoni ja taitoni kohdistamista teekkaritoimintaan partion jäädessä tauolle. Partiourastani muistoksi jääköön etevyys työn jäsennyksessä ja -jaossa sekä yhdistystoiminnassa budjeteista hakemuksiin ja raportteihin.
Fuksikapteenin vastuu on perusteellinen, minkä vuoksi työn jäljen on oltava kiitettävää. Työn jälki jättää väkisinkin toivomisen varaa, jollei sitä riemulla tee. Siksi tähdennän kapteenien ja raadin ystävyyttä ehtona erinomaisuudelle. Yhtä tärkeää yhteistyössä on avoimuus, rehellisyys ja suorapuheisuus, jotka ratkaisevat ihmisten väliset selkkaukset – lähes kaikki niistä johtuvat eroista ihmisten keskinäisissä käsityksissä toisistaan [1]. Samalla avoimuus rakentaa luottamusta ja läheisyyttä – oivaa pohjaa ystävyydelle.
Ystävyyden tulee yhtä lailla kohdistua fukseihin. Fuksikapteenin on oltava rakastava mutta toisaalta määrätietoinen, sillä fukseillensa hän on esikuvallinen huolehtiva ISOsisarus, johon voi aina luottaa. Fuksikapteenius on siis edustustehtävä, ja siksi kapteenin on osoitettava lämmön lisäksi kunnollisuutta, kuten kevään fuksitapahtumissa näkyvässä vastuutehtävässä ja nyt tupsuvuonna vastuuISOna toimiminen minulle ovat opettaneet. Siis vaikka kapteeni joutuisi tekemään kompromisseja fuksitapahtumissa, hän ei sitä fukseille vihjaisikaan. Mutkattomuus on unohtumattoman fuksivuoden edellytys.
Lupaan fuksikapteenina varmistaa tuleville fukseille vähintäänkin ikimuistoisen fuksivuoden.

Dear guild,
Fuksi upbringing is the most important task of the guild, because fuksis are the future of teekkaris. This is precisely why I, Into Almiala, am running for fuksi captain of the Guild of Physics for 2025.
Like in many fresh teekkaris, the seed of captain ardour was planted in me by my fuksi Wappu. When all the amazing I had experienced with my co-fuksis crystallised into drops on my cheeks as we donned our caps for the first time, I knew the culmination of the best year of my life had served its purpose magnificently. My affinity with the charm of teekkari culture, having already sparked in my fuksi year, was sealed Into my soul.
What my own Fuksi Captains and the entire continuum of teekkaris from its inception have given me, I am obliged to pass on to future fuksis. Teekkaris—and especially the Guild of Physics—is an unprecedented community that we engineering students have created for ourselves and our followers. The community is borne up by a millennium of tradition and symbolism that, over the centuries, have upkept the heart of the teekkari community, the pulse of which the Fuksi Captain most actively sustains.
I have been fortunate to learn the importance of community in life from a young age through Scouting. Through incremental Scouting duties, I have had the opportunity to organise events for tens to thousands of participants. My Scouting career of more than a decade culminated this year in two major duties, and the end of my five-year term on the board at the turn of the year will see me devoting all my enthusiasm and skills to teekkari activities, whilst Scouting starts its hiatus. May my scouting career be remembered by my diligence in structuring and division of work and in association activities, from budgets to applications and reports.
The Fuksi Captain bears a significant responsibility, which is why the yield of the work must be commendable. It is bound to leave something to be desired if not done with joy. That is why I emphasise the friendship between the captains and the board as a requirement for excellence. Equally important in cooperation is openness, honesty and frankness, which resolve conflicts between people—almost all of them caused by differences in people’s perceptions of each other [1]. In addition, openness builds trust and closeness—a splendid basis for friendship.
Friendship should be equally directed towards the fuksis. A Fuksi Captain must be loving but determined, as for the fuksis, the captain is a role model, a caring BIG sibling who can always be relied upon. Captaincy is therefore a representative role, and thus the captain must show not only warmth but also propriety, as acting as a visible responsible in the fuksi events of the spring and now as a responsible BIG in my second year have taught me. Thus, even if the captain has to compromise at fuksi events, it will happen without a hint to the fuksis. Fluency is a prerequisite for a memorable fuksi year.
As fuksi captain, I vow to assure the coming fuksis nothing less than an unforgettable fuksi year.
