Moi kaikille!
Olen Lauri, Espoon Olarista kotoisin oleva kolmannen vuoden fysisisti. Olen toiminut Fyysikkokillassa hupikisällinä ’23, nykyisessä ’24 Hottiksessa HOTHOTHOTina, ja nyt haen täyttämään ne saappaista suurimmat, eli tietysti hupimestariksi!
Motivaationi hupimestariksi hakemiseen on todella yksinkertainen: rakastan tapahtumien järjestämistä. Oli kyseessä sitten ruokatilauksen tekeminen, infoviestin kirjoittaminen, roudaaminen, loppusiivous tai nachopellin kokkaaminen Gorsun keittiössä ännännen kerran, Hottiksessa työ ei koskaan tunnu työltä. Mikään Otaniemessä ei vedä vertoja sille tunteelle, kun onnistuneen tapahtuman jälkeen laittaa viimeiset tavarat paikoilleen kiltiksellä.
Mietin hupimestariksi hakemista jo viime vuonna hieman, mutta silloin raativiran tuoma työmäärä ja täysi opintokalenteri katkaisivat mietteet lyhyeen. Hain kuitenkin HOTHOTHOTiksi, sillä halusin ottaa enemmän vastuuta Hottiksessa ja kartuttaa kokemusta. Nyt koen olevani valmis vielä vastuullisempaan rooliin, ja kalenterin ammottaessa tyhjyyttään voin myös antaa kaikkeni sekä Hottiksen ja hyvinvointijaoksen johdossa, että raadissa. Fyysikkokilta on antanut minulle niin paljon kahden ja puolen opiskeluvuoteni aikana, ja haluan tehdä oman osani tämän upean yhteisön hyväksi.
Hottiksessa toimiminen on opettanut minulle paljon organisointi- ja yhteistyötaitoja, joita hyvinvointijaoksen johtaminen ja raadissa toimiminen varmasti vaativat. Lisäksi kahden vuoden kokemuksen jälkeen tunnen Hottiksen käytännöt kuin omat taskuni, ja hyvinvointijaoskin on jo hyvin tuttu. Hupimestarina tulisin jatkamaan samalla, hyväksi havaitulla linjalla kuin edelliset hyvinvointijaokset, mutta joitain uutuuksiakin varmasti tulisi kehiteltyä!
Vielä lopuksi, Hottisvuodet ovat tuoneet minulle unohtumattomia muistoja. Haluaisinkin olla mukana luomassa samoja muistoja uudelle Hottikselle (unohtamatta muuta hyvinvointijaosta), sekä tietysti kaikista tärkeimpänä haluan ylläpitää killan hyvinvointia parhaan kykyni mukaan :)

Hello everyone!
I am Lauri, a third year physics student from Olari, Espoo. I was an apprentice of leisure in Hottis '23, the HOTHOTHOT in this year’s Hottis, and now I am applying to take on the most responsible role of them all: master of leisure!
My motivation for applying is extremely simple: I love organizing events. Whether it is ordering the food, writing the info message, hauling stuff, cleaning up after the event or making a nacho plate for the nth time in Gorsu, the work in Hottis never feels like work. There is no better feeling found in Otaniemi than finally putting the last items in their place at the guild room after a successfull event.
I considered applying for master of leisure already last year, but the workload from the board and a packed study calendar put a swift end to those considerations back then. However, I still applied for the role of HOTHOTHOT because I wanted to take on more responsibility in Hottis and get more experience. Now I am ready to take on the full responsibility, and with my calendar looking empty for next year, I can give my everything both in leading the welfare division and in the board. The Guild of Physics has given me so much during my two and a half years of studying, so I want to do my part for the good of this awesome community.
Working in Hottis has taught me valuable organization and cooperation skills which are required for leading the welfare division and working in the board. In addition, after two years in the committee, I know the workings of Hottis like the back of my own hands, and I am no stranger to the welfare division either. As master of leisure, I would continue with the same direction as previous divisions, but there’s always room to cook up something new and interesting!
Lastly, my years in Hottis have brought me unforgettable memories. I would love to be a part of creating these memories for the new Hottis (and welfare division), and of course upholding the wellbeing of the guild to my utmost ability :)
