Olen Markus, toisen vuoden opiskelija ja vuoden 2022 fuksi. Vietin edellisen vuoden armeijassa ja tulin kesällä takaisin intoa puhkuen. Fyysikkokilta ja teekkarikulttuuri ovat olleet lähellä sydäntäni heti ensikosketuksesta.
Pidän itseäni sosiaalisena, innokkaana ja avoimena ihmisenä, ja juuri siitä syystä Fyysikkokilta on minulle niin rakas. Voin olla avoimesti oma innostunut itseni eikä minua kummeksuta sen vuoksi. Uuden kokeminen ja kokeilu tällaisessa ilmapiirissä on mitä parhainta elämää. Haluaisin tarjota myös uusille fukseille tällaisia kokemuksia.
Minusta on tärkeää, että Fyysikkokilta ei eristäydy liiaksi muista killoista. Moni asia on muuttunut maailmassa ja Otaniemessä viimeisten vuosien aikana. Mekin olemme mukana rakentamassa uutta teekkariuden identiteettiä. Olen tutustunut moniin muiden kiltojen aktiivisiin opiskelijoihin ja potentiaalisiin fuksikapteeneihin, eritoten koska muutin itse kesällä Joutomiehille. Luulen, että tämä helpottaisi työskentelyä muiden fuksikapteenien kanssa yhteisessä toimikunnassa FTMK:ssa.

I’m Markus, a second year student and year 2022 fuksi. I spent last year in the army and returned this summer full of excitement. The Guild of Physics and teekkari culture have been close to my heart right from the beginning.
I consider myself a social, enthusiastic, and open person, which is exactly why the Guild of Physics is so dear to me. I can openly be my enthusiastic self without being judged for it. Experiencing and trying new things in such an atmosphere is the best life can offer, and it’s the kind of experience I’d like to provide to future fuksis.
I think it’s important that the Guild of Physics doesn’t isolate itself too much from the other guilds. Since so much has changed in the world and in Otaniemi in the last couple years, we also need to be there building a new identity for the teekkari community. I’ve personally gotten to know active students and potential fuksi captains from other guilds, especially after moving to Joutomiehet this summer. It’s an active and social communal residential association in Teekkarikylä. I think this would make working with other guilds’ fuksi captains in the joint committee, FTMK, easier.
